The Principal and four English teachers from Okpo Middle School came to see us today. We visited some classes and they were fascinated to see our school and how different it is .
We talked for a long time about ideas to make a connection between our schools. It's a little difficult because we have about 70 students in our Middle School and they have over 700! We also already have relationships with three other schools, including Okpo Seonji Middle School, which is right next door.
The best idea I have so far is that a class from their school would visit and do a survey of what ISK kids like. So for example, they could go round in pairs practicing their English by asking questions such as, 'What's your favourite movie?' or favourite music or computer game. In this way they would talk a lot and also get some stats and bar charts out of it. (That's how we teach English at ISK: by doing mathematics, science, geography, and all the other subjects.)
