Recruitment

30/1/2016

This is the recruitment season at ISK. It's a busy time of advertising, application checking, interviews, references and tough choices! But I do enjoy it and I feel that each year we are getting better at it. We have a fantastic team at ISK and a number of new staff have commented that we must be doing things right in our recruitment processes. I also enjoy the process very much, which may help. The feeling of offering someone a job that you know they would like is a bit like being Santa. On the other hand, the feeling of letting someone down is less enjoyable. (Got to take the rough with the smooth, I guess.)

    About this blog:

Mr Myles's blog is a window on some of the things he is involved in from week to week.

The key aim of a school Principal should be to lead the learning in the school. We do that by focusing on one key question:
'How can this improve learning in the school?' That is the thread that connects all the posts in this blog.
If an activity can be clearly linked to improving learning, then there's a chance that I may be involved or supporting in some way. I hope you find it interesting!
