IPC Exit Points - Y2 & Y6

19/11/2015

There were two IPC Exit Points to visit today. The Year 2 unit We Are What We Eat, culminated in a wonderful international food festival in the cafeteria. Many thanks to all the parents who contributed dishes from their home countries, it was a delicious world tour. Mr Colin, Ms Becky and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And many thanks also to the Year 2 teaching team for putting it all together so well.

In Year 6 the Exit Point for their unit Fairgrounds consisted of a wonderful set of science and technology presentations. They have learned how to design and test boats, build fairground rides, how the senses work and learned about various principles of forces and mechanics. I learned a lot from the students too. It's a wonderful unit and all credit goes to the teachers, Mr Steven and Mr Paul, for inspiring them all to go the extra mile on this one. Tomorrow we will bring some of their work down to the Learning Gallery in the school entrance.

    About this blog:

Mr Myles's blog is a window on some of the things he is involved in from week to week.

The key aim of a school Principal should be to lead the learning in the school. We do that by focusing on one key question:
'How can this improve learning in the school?' That is the thread that connects all the posts in this blog.
If an activity can be clearly linked to improving learning, then there's a chance that I may be involved or supporting in some way. I hope you find it interesting!
