Funnily enough though, this is one of the processes that I enjoy best about this job. It's a time of dreaming about what you want to do and then trying to set up the practical solutions to get you there. Although hardly anyone sees it, this is possibly the single most important part of the role of the Principal. If you get it wrong, it can potentially derail everything in very serious ways, or just lead to stagnation and frustration. Get it right and your school continues to improve... and stay solvent! Few other activities have this much impact.
