Art's Program

ISK's art programme is developing rapidly and we couldn't be more excited. On top of regular Visual Art and Music classes during the school day, ISK provides multiple opportunities for students to express themselves through various art mediums. We have primary and middle school musicals, instrumental lessons, concerts and a wide selection of after school activities. Besides this we attend music festivals with selected students from ISK who represent our school in Korea and even abroad.

Musicals

Picture
ISK will be performing two enchanting musicals. Students in Years 4-6 will have the opportunity to participate in a musical titled The Blue Crystal. It is a musical filled with action and set 2000 years in the future. The Blue Crystal is really important for planet Earth but it is stolen by warriors from another planet. They will board a spaceship to make sure the Blue Crystal is returned to Earth, to save the world. This musical is great fun and involves adventures in space, adventures on earth, a princess and warriors; it is great fun and there will be a role for everyone, boys and girls! The performance will take place on June 3!

All middle school students will collaborate in their performance of Mulan Jr. Students will work together and will tell the tale of how Mulan disguises herself as a man to take her father's place in the battlefield. On her journey she is joined by a small dragon named Mushu. Mushu wants to become a guardian and transform Mulan into a war hero. It's a Musical that shows perseverance, endurance, resilience and also humor. this will be an incredible learning experience for our Middle School students. Performances will be held on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27. See our community calendar for more details.

Instrument Programme

ISK is please to offer students the opportunity to sign up for individual instrumental instruction.  The instrumental programme provides high quality instrumental teaching, and allows students to develop their excellence in their musical instrument.  At this time, instrument instruction is available for flute, guitar, drums, violin, and piano.

Concerts

We are privileged to have students at ISK who are musically inclined and are willing to share their talents with the rest of the school community. Our school provides many opportunities for students to showcase their skills. There are Winter and Summer concerts highlighting learning in the music room. During the winter concerts, the concert will have a seasonal theme with lots of singing, playing and even some special effects. The Middle School Students will also perform a piece on instruments, using all their talents. What's for sure is that they all bring smiles to the audience's faces.
Students who wish to perform in a relaxed and casual setting are invited to join the Informal Concerts. The concert allows students to showcase their instrumental or vocal talents. Family and friends are welcomed to attend the Informal Concerts to be mesmerized by our school's talent.

Art Exibition

Our talented student artists develop artworks which demonstrate their learning. Students use the knowledge and skills that they have learned, and demonstrate their understanding by creating their own masterpieces.  The pieces of art are displayed in an Art Exhibition for others to enjoy.
